Pricing Policy
Listing your property is completely free. You only pay when we successfully help you find a tenant.
Success Fee
10% of first payment
You pay nothing until a tenant signs and pays.
For regular properties: 10% of first month's rent
For hostels: 10% of first semester fee (4 months)
Examples:
• Single room at 200,000 UGX/month → Success fee: 20,000 UGX
• Hostel bed space at 500,000 UGX/semester (4 months) → Success fee: 50,000 UGX
When You Pay
You only pay after:
- A tenant contacts you through our platform
- You both agree on the lease terms
- The tenant pays the first rent (monthly or semester as applicable)

Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using OffCampuskribs ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.
OffCampuskribs connects students with property owners and landlords. We are a listing platform, not a party to any rental agreement.
2. User Eligibility
To use OffCampuskribs, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
- Be a student or property owner/landlord in Uganda
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Use the platform for lawful purposes only
3. Property Listings
When listing a property on OffCampuskribs, you agree that:
- All information provided is accurate and complete
- You own or have legal authority to list the property
- Images uploaded are genuine and represent the actual property
- Prices quoted are in Ugandan Shillings (UGX)
- Listings are subject to review and may be removed if found inaccurate
4. Success Fee Agreement
When a tenant found through OffCampuskribs signs a lease:
- For regular properties (apartments, single rooms, self-contained): Landlord pays 10% of the first month's rent
- For hostels: Landlord pays 10% of the first semester fee (4 months)
This fee is due within 7 days of the tenant moving in. Failure to pay may result in account suspension.
5. Inquiries and Communication
When you send an inquiry through OffCampuskribs:
- You consent to being contacted by property owners
- Your phone number is shared only with the property owner you contacted
- You agree not to spam or harass property owners
- OffCampuskribs may monitor communications for quality and security
6. Verification and Safety
OffCampuskribs verifies properties to the best of our ability. However:
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of every listing
- Users should inspect properties in person before committing
- We are not liable for disputes between tenants and landlords
- Report suspicious listings to our support team immediately
7. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. We collect and process personal data including phone numbers, location data, and usage data. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
8. Prohibited Activities
You may NOT use OffCampuskribs to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Circumvent our verification process
- Attempt to hack or disrupt our services
- Scrape or copy property data without permission
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OffCampuskribs is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages. We are not responsible for disputes between tenants and landlords.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of OffCampuskribs after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
